Honey press11/27/2023 ![]() When the pressing process has been completed, the containers are removed and later opened for the removal of the wax cake therefrom, as will be readily understood. In this way the retained honey will be readily pressed from the cappings and a cake of wax formed in the container. A 0 section of cheese cloth is usually placed under the bottom of the container and over the top thereof to facilitate the pressing operation and the subsequent removal of cake from the press container. SThis process is repeated until one of the containers is thus brought under the jack screw 23, whereupon a top follower 24 is inserted therein and pressure exerted thereon by means of the jack screw 23, as will be readily understood. When said container has been thus filled with cappings, the same is shoved along the table towards the upper end thereof and an empty one substituted therefor. In operation, the operator standing opposite the splash guard 25 removes the cappings from the honey comb in the usual way, depositing the 0 same in one of the containers 20 positioned opposite said splash guard 25. A jack screw 23 is arranged as shown to cooperate with the frame 13-14 and a follower 24 is insertable in the tops of the containers 20 for exerting pressure on the comb cappings in said containers, as will be readily understood. Suitable side guides 22 are provided on the uprights 13 to facilitate positioning of containers within said frame. ![]() Additional ribs 21 are interspersed between the ribs 19 under the frame 13-14 to furnish further support for the said press containers when they are being subjected to pressure. Deflectors I0 are arranged as indicated to deflect drainings from the table 10 to said opening I1.Ĭombin ed drain and slide ribs 19 are arranged longitudinally as shown on the top of the table for supporting and facilitating the sliding of press containers 20 thereon. Tie bolts 16 are arranged as indicated adjacent the members 14 and 15 to further secure the frame parts together.Ī drain opening II is arranged as indicated at the lower end of the table 10 and with which a drain pipe or other means for collecting or removing honey drained from the table 10, is connected. The supporting members 12 are extended verticallY as shown to constitute the sides 13 of a frame having a cross head orabutment 14 extending across the upper end thereof.Ī similar cross head 15 is arranged across the lower supports 12 just under the table 10 to furnish stout support therefor. ![]() The embodiment of the invention illustrated in the drawings comprises a suitable draining table i0 in the form of a shallow elongated rectangular pan or receptacle arranged in an inclined position and supported at its lower end by supporting members I and at its upper end by supporting members 12. ![]() 5 is a section taken substantially on line 2 5-5 of Fig. 4 is a section taken substantially on line 4-4 of Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a honey press embodying the invention Fig. The invention consists of the combinations and arrangements of parts hereinafter described and claimed.1 The invention will be best understood by reference to the accompanying drawings forming a part of the specification and in whichFig. The extruder can also be used in the food industry as a fruit press. The invention relates to improvement in honey presses especially adapted for removing honey from cappings removed from honey combs, and has for its primary object the provision of an improved construction of the character indicated which is highly efficient in use. Additional advantages of the extruder are the 230V power supply and the precise manufacturing of all machine components. One of the main advantages of the device is the ease of use of the controller and compact dimensions. The device is equipped with wheels for easy transport. The entire structure is made of high-quality, acid-resistant stainless steel. This is how we obtain a dry wax in a ready-to-melt form. The remaining wax is pressed by the screw inside the extruder and then pushed out. The honey flows through the holes between the separating shaft and the perforated plate and flows down onto the sieve. This process takes place inside a perforated cylinder where the rotating separating and pressing module imprints the honey. The device is designed to separate honey and press cappings mechanically. ![]()
